- Tap and hold on the Google app,
- Then, tap on App Info

- Then, tap on the Microphone.
- If you have already given permission to the microphone, tap on Don’t Allow.
3. Disable Google Assistant Completely:
If you don’t use Google Assistant much or if it’s not useful in your daily life, you should disable it completely.
So, the popping problem will be solved automatically. To turn it off completely, follow these steps:
- Open the Google app on your phone
- Tap on the three horizontal dots in the lower right corner.
- Next, tap on Settings
- Now, tap on Google Assistant.
- In that tape, scroll down and tap on General.
- Then, toggle the bar to disable Google Assistant.

4. Restart Your Phone:
This is the first thing you should do if any error or problem occurs with your phone. And it’s restarting the phone. If this problem is with your phone initially, restarting your phone can fix it. Restart your phone and wait for a few minutes and hours. Let’s see if there is a problem or not. But, it will be a temporary solution. Follow more steps to quickly fix this problem permanently.
5. Disable the “Ok Google” or “Hey Google” feature for Google Assistant:
It’s common these days to have Google Assistant on your phone, and many users even mention a voice command to turn it on. But, it causes this problem in your phone. So, you need to turn off this feature to fix this issue.
- Open the Google app on your phone.
- Tap on the More option (bottom right corner)
- Tap on the Settings option
- Then, tap on Voice
- Tap on Voice Match.
- Then, turn off “Ok Google” or “Ok Google” by toggling the toggle bar
Disabling voice commands keep Google Assistant popping up on Android. If it doesn’t, go to the next method.
