The ASUS X507 sells for 39,999 on Amazon (at the time of writing this article) & it is one of the best values in that under 40K price segment. It actually has a lot of features for the money. The major specifications include a 15.6-inch 1080P Display, 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U, 8 Gigabytes of RAM, 1TB HDD (5400 rpm) & Windows 10.
It also comes with a built-in Fingerprint Scanner on the trackpad for biometric logins via. Windows Hello. The device is only 1.68 kgs in weight & has a slim form factor with narrow display bezels. The only downside is that there is only 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi support so, you don’t have 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac here.
ASUS VivoBook 15 X505ZA
Now, going to the AMD side of things, the ASUS VivoBook 15 X505ZA is the second (and first in AMD powered devices) best value that we were able to find. This one is also cheaper than the ASUS X507. It sells for 35,425 on Amazon (at the time of writing this article) & it’s a really great value for its price. The highlighting specifications include a 15.6-inch 1080P Display, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U CPU, 8 Gigabytes of RAM, 1TB HDD (5400 rpm) & Windows 10. It is about 1.60 Kilograms as far as weight goes.
You do lose the Fingerprint Scanner here. But, on the other side, this laptop actually has 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi. So, if you need that, you need to go with this one instead.

Microsoft Surface Go
The Microsoft Surface Go is for a very niche kind of users who like to carry a premium built machine for general day to day tasks. It’s a 2-in-1 device (keyboard sold separately, slightly discounted if purchased with the Surface Go), not a traditional laptop. It’s not even anywhere near the processing power of the above-mentioned laptops. But, it a nice looking, nicely built device coming from Microsoft. It sells for about 37,999 on Flipkart (at the time of writing this article). As far the specifications go, it has a 10 inch 1800 x 1200 (3:2) Display, Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y CPU, 4 Gigabytes of RAM, 64GB eMMC storage (expandable with MicroSD), 5MP front & 8MP rear cameras and Windows 10 S.
This one also features the 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi so, no issues there. Also, its display is the best one on the list. But, if you go with this one, you do need to remember that this device isn’t made for heavy multitasking. Regular lightweight day-to-day tasks are what the Microsoft Go does the best.
